How to Have Effective 1:1 Meetings

Do you manage people? If you do you may think that because you sit next to them or are in touch on slack throughout the day, that you don't need to sit down face to face weekly or even biweekly. This is a mistake that we see business owners and managers making all the time. As an experienced business owner and people experience expert, Sel Watts will share with you everything you need to know about running an effective one on one meeting and how to make sure they are performing:

Who is this for? Small to medium business owners & managers who manage people

What will be covered?

  1. The benefits of regular 1:1s and how to set a schedule that works well for you and your team

  2. How to create an effective agenda for the meeting

  3. How to run the meeting

  4. How to measure success

What will I leave with?

Answers to all of the above PLUS a template of a 1:1 Agenda template that you can customize for your company

Divine Your Story & The Art of Self-Branding Workshop

  • Primary Penn Station - Cellar/Studio (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Founded by Eli Walker, Divine Your Story™ integrates the art of storytelling and yoga to empower individuals to create a joyful life. Utilizing monologuing and mindfulness techniques, DYS strives to inspire students to think more expansively about their personal narratives by providing tools to deconstruct stories that lead to suffering. Then, from a place of pure potential, capacitates them to re-write their life story in the direction of joy, equipped with a sense of conscious authorship.

Each participant will leave this workshop feeling empowered with new techniques to rethink the negative "truths" they tell themselves about their life circumstances, and a method to "rewrite" those stories in more joyful directions as the author of their own life stories. Visit www.eliwalkerprojects.com and www.divineyourstory.com for more information.

Additionally, they'll leave with more definition/clarity on their personal values in their life and how that translates to their brand and entrepreneurial endeavors, and practical skills on how to market their ideals to increase brand awareness and integrity for their companies or projects.

Expanding on the Divine Your Story personal empowerment and “conscious authorship” theme, Lena Koropey, Etiquette Expert, and Founder of Gramercy Protocol, will guide participants through a one-hour strategic personal branding session to help participants be their best and effectively communicate who they are and what they are contributing to the world.

Participants will discover and put into practice:

  • The Power of a Personal Brand

  • How to Use Personal Branding as a Tool to Achieve Goals

  • Identifying Core Strengths and Values as a Driver for Business

Lena Koropey provides strategic business etiquette and communication skills training to Fortune 100 companies, representing some of the world’s most respected brands. She brings over fifteen years of marketing communications, brand management, and public relations experience to Gramercy Protocol and has worked with distinguished brands such as Mercedes-Benz, smart and Voss water.

Common Point Acupuncture

  • Primary FiDi - Pine Conference Room - 8th Floor (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Common Point is a modern acupuncture clinic on a mission to make Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture more accessible. The acupuncture treatments are in private, comfy rooms. All services are appropriate for newbies and regulars alike. All programs have a foundation in the Basics –– simple rules in health that you should always return to: eat real food, drink plenty of water, move daily, breathe deeply, sleep enough, detox daily, celebrate often.

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine are really good at filling in the gaps of Western medicine. Whole-system issues like digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances, pain, and chronic stress symptoms are right in our wheelhouse.Common Point will be onsite Wednesday, July 31st from 11am to 3pm.

This is a perfect way to meet the team, get all of your acupuncture questions answered and experience the feel of the needles. Your session will include a protocol in the ear that helps calm your brain –– like a square of dark chocolate without the calories or sugar crash. A session in the clinic dives deeper into your health history and a plan for your health goals.

To schedule your session, go to the 8th floor reception desk.
