Luminary - Receptionist

Primary Luminaries are masters at creating a vibrant workspace environment through effective communication and exceptional consistency. They act as the “face” or “go to person” for members on a daily basis. Outside of the workplace they serve as Primary Brand Ambassadors, spreading the Primary love wherever they may go.

The heart of the role includes (though not limited to):

  • Greets all members courteously, using member’s names where possible.

  • Demonstrates excellence in service quality standards that affect member satisfaction, responding to members in a timely and professional manner. A courteous and professional demeanor and presentation must prevail when handling upset members and difficult situations.

  • Ensure that Primary members have the highest level of satisfaction and feel great every day they walk through the door

  • Give prospective members first class tours of the space

  • Demonstrate P.R.I.M.A.R.Y Values in all interactions

  • Remain observant and respond to each member who passes through the entrance

  • Must possess outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated communication skills

  • Provides additional services by taking and holding packages, delivers telephone messages to member and staff. Note all special requests, etc. Sorts and distributes incoming mail. Receives housekeeping and maintenance requests or work orders and contacts proper departmental personnel. Relays pertinent information to Lead Luminary and Management. Prepares and consistently restocks the front desk with necessary supplies.

  • Regular attendance, strong grooming standards and safety guidelines established by Primary are essential to the successful performance of this position.

  • Proficient English language communication skills in order to communicate both verbally and in writing with members, owners and co-workers, and fully comprehend job assignments.

  • Must be able to adjust to schedule changes and cover shifts on short notice in order to meet business demands.

  • Ability to multi-task responsibilities and prioritize duties to meet deadlines and demands

  • Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment

You would be a superb fit for Primary if you have/are:

  • Prior hospitality or customer service related experience and asset

  • Super positive attitude and a genuine  love for people

  • A Bachelor Degree or equivalent of 2 - 4 years of experience

  • Good problem solving ability

  • GREAT communication skills

  • Excellent follow through/up skills

  • Highly self-managed with excellent time management skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Punctual & Polished

  • Tech savvy – can troubleshoot printing issues, comfortable with Macs & PCs, social media management, proficient with Photoshop or the like, experience with MailChimp and Squarespace.

  • Ability to attend and/or lead weekly team meetings

  • Tactful and able to graciously enforce Primary’s Community Policies, while also maintaining a positive rapport with fellow teammates and members

  • Conscientious (of self and others)

  • Open to learning new ways to do things and considering others’ perspectives

  • Ability to work weekdays, and occasionally evenings (events)
